FAQ

How does ThermoAlarm work?
Set a temperature condition (above, below, or between a range), pick a location and time window, and ThermoAlarm checks the forecast during that window. When conditions are met, you get alerted.
Where does the weather data come from?
All weather data comes from the National Weather Service (weather.gov). It's free, reliable, and covers all US locations.
Why is it US only?
The NWS API only provides data for US locations. International support may be considered in future updates.
Do I need an account?
No. ThermoAlarm works entirely on your device with no account or sign-up required.
Why does the app need location access?
Location is used to fetch weather data for your area. You can also manually search for any US city or ZIP code instead.
Why does the app need notification permission?
Notifications are how alarms alert you when temperature conditions are met. Without notification permission, alarms cannot fire.
Can I use custom alarm sounds?
Yes. In the alarm creation screen or in Settings, you can upload your own audio files to use as alarm sounds.
