Overview

ThermoAlarm is designed with your privacy in mind. The app operates entirely on your device and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. We do not have servers.

Data That Stays on Your Device

All of the following data is stored locally on your device using an on-device database and is never transmitted to us:

• Alarm configurations (names, temperature thresholds, schedules)
• Your settings and preferences
• Custom alarm sounds you upload
• Alarm event history (when alarms fired, were dismissed, or snoozed)

Location Data

ThermoAlarm requests access to your device's location to determine your geographic coordinates for weather lookups. Your location data is:

• Used only to fetch weather forecasts from the National Weather Service
• Sent directly from your device to the NWS API — it never passes through our servers
• Not stored beyond what is needed for your alarm configurations
• Never shared with third parties

You can choose not to grant location access and instead manually search for a city or ZIP code.

Third-Party Services

ThermoAlarm makes network requests to the following service:

• National Weather Service API (api.weather.gov) — to retrieve weather forecast data. The NWS API is a free, public US government service. Requests include your selected location's coordinates and a User-Agent header identifying the app. The NWS privacy policy is available at weather.gov/privacy.

ThermoAlarm does not use any analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash reporting services.

Children's Privacy

ThermoAlarm does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app does not collect personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
